Because it’s 2020 and some men still don’t seem to know the most basic facts about women, we decided to continue from our last article on Funny facts about men; women should know, so both genders can better understand why they act the way they do. So men, it’s your turn. Study up!
Men argue that learning how to understand women can take a lifetime, and you may not ever fully get there. That doesn’t mean it’s not worth the try.
So, Ibiene curated a list of things about women that men should know. For the purpose of this article, let us call them secrets.
Secret 1- Touch her:
Women appreciate a guy with a sensitive side, especially when they’re upset. Put your arm around her and hand her a tissue. Nurturing is a powerful way to connect.
Secret 2 – Be the man:
When it comes to romance, many women do like men to take a traditional masculine role. This is especially true in the wooing stage of a relationship but should grow along with the relationship. Yes we know she’s perfectly capable of pulling out her own chair or opening a door, but if you see her hesitate, she might just be waiting for you to be the gentleman. Don’t let her wait for too long.
Secret 3- Dress to Impress:
Styles come and go, but a man’s attention to his grooming and clothing should be long lasting. You’ve got to figure out if there’s a certain look that she likes and let her see it often.
Secret 4- Don’t Hide Your Flaws:
Nothing captures a woman’s heart quite like a good man who wants to be a better man. You chase her away with that “Mr. Perfect” air. “Women love personal growth, they love a man who is thoughtful and sensitive.” She likes it when her man recognizes a flaw and loves it when he makes an effort to address it.
Secret 5 – It’s not all fix, fix, fix it!
When something’s bothering her, she wants your ear, not your advice. Although men feel the need to fix things because they are solution-oriented, to a woman, listening is a wonderful, wonderful thing that deepens the relationship.
Secret 6- Nodding Is Not Enough:
Listening is important, but she also wants to know that she is being heard. Nodding along won’t cut it. When she pauses, she’s giving you a cue to respond in a compassionate, caring way. If she tells you that she is upset because her boss gave her a tough time, she wants to hear you say, “I’m sorry that work was such a drag for you today.” And remember: Resist the urge to offer solutions. Another reminder, don’t just nod.
Secret 7- Your Shirt is her shirt:
Does your partner curl up in your sweater or sneak into your work shirt? Well, there might be a reason. Irrespective of the fact that it she feels snug in it, some researchers have found that the lingering scent of a man’s perfume has a relaxing effect on women.
Secret 7- Say It, Again and Again:
Women like to be told they look nice, and they like a man who notices without being told. When she’s wearing a new dress, for example, she’ll give you major points for saying how hot she looks, especially if you mention the dress before she does. If she’s looking particularly attractive, if she has a new haircut, if she’s looking fit, let her hear about it. A quick reminder, say it again.
Secret 8- Don’t Fear the “we need to talk”:
The mouths of many men go suddenly dry once she says “We need to talk.” When your woman wants to talk, it doesn’t always mean you did something wrong. What she probably wants is to get an honest answer to a disturbing issue. That talk can bring the two of you closer.
You see? It’s not that difficult. Is it? Dear brother, the best thing to do when you’re unsure is to ask her what she would like you to do. The world can be a better place if you know some of these secrets and what to do about it.
