
It’s always bliss to feel those grains of popcorn in between your fingers while watching a movie together with the kids. The only part that might be tiring is the endless questioning- mummy why? Daddy who, what, where…? Well, it lasts for only 120 seconds.
With kids at home fulltime with their parents, no thanks to the novel coronavirus pandemic, there is the need to keep the little ones busy and entertainment takes a huge chunk of the time.

These family movies, some available, some yet to be released are sure to impress your crew.
Doolittle:

Release date: January 17, 2020
In this mixed anime, Robert Downey, Jr. steps into the role of the famed doctor who can talk to animals. These animal voices come courtesy of Jon Cena, Selena Gomez, Octavia Spencer and Emma Thompson among others.
Sonic the Hedgehog:

Release date: February 14, 2020
This movie was scheduled for release in 2019, but the studio pushed back the release date after it debuted its first trailers, and acted on feedback of fans disapproved of Sonic’s design. The new and improved Sonic came out just in time for Valentine’s Day, with Jim Carrey taking on the role of the not-so-nice Dr. Robotnik.
The Call of the Wild:

Release date: February 21, 2020
In this adaptation of Jack London’s classic, this movie features Harrison Ford and Karen Gillen in a tale of a dog stolen from his home in California and sold to freight haulers in the Yukon. So if your kid (s) loves animals, make sure to put this one on the catalogue.
Onward:

Release date: March 6, 2020
This is the first Disney movie of the year to come from Pixar. It tells the story of a pair of elf brothers who venture into the world to see if they can still find some magic in it. Two favourite Avenger characters, Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, play the mystical brothers.
Due to the raging covid-19 other awesome works have been put on hold, so let’s see some from 2019 that will get those kids entertained yet learning.
The Lion King:

Released: July 19
This movie brings Simba back to live again. Simba’s story preaches the gospel of mother Africa and introduces these little ones to their roots. To others, it teaches them a new culture. This story retelling will tug at your heartstrings.
The Angry Birds Movie 2:

Released: August 2
Even if you haven’t watched part 1, Angry bird 2 will get you following the storyline immediately. This time around, the high-flying troublemakers are back again, ready to wreack havoc and bring smiles to little ones’ faces in the follow-up to the 2016 film. Your kids will learn about the power of collaboration and peace making.
Frozen 2:

Released: November 22
There is no way 2019 will fly past and Frozen 2 will not be mentioned. The first part left fans excitedly waiting for the world’s favorite sisters to come make their long-awaited return and show their magic powers. Pretty sure Aulouf the unassuming snowman made it more exciting. The theme song “Let It Go” was the kid’s world anthem and automatic pick during karaoke session.
