We know life is somewhat different since the outbreak of the pandemic but that does not stop you from expressing your love to whom it is due this valentine.
You see, there is so much pressure to make Valentine’s Day extra-special each year, but we’re here to remind you that being under pressure is a choice you do not have to make as you’re reading these beautiful valentine’s day ides for 2021.
Take a hike:

Taking a walk hand in hand with the one you love can be therapeutic. Whether you’re in a cold or warm region, taking a scenic hike (while dressed for the weather) is a great way to unplug and unwind this Valentine’s Day. Is there a spot where you both have longed to go to but for time? You might want to try it this Valentine’s Day. You’re bound to have a fun time because you’re in great company that would keep your heart beating.
Play tourist/tour guide in your own town:

This is when you get to know if your partner knows the community in which you live very well. Get into the role by telling your partner about some places/ landmarks you both know very well. Exchange roles and let your partner do the talking too, take pictures together. The memories will keep the love burning bright.
Make a scrapbook of your relationship:

Even partners who aren’t so into crafts will get fun out of this activity. Gather up photos of your relationship, some old ticket stubs, and meaningful receipts, and other paper materials and make a beautiful book that you’ll both treasure. It will pique your creativity too.
Eat breakfast in bed:

Let there be sweetness for a change. Surprise your partner by whipping up a delicious breakfast spread on Valentine’s Day and join in enjoying it while lounging in bed. It will be a nice change of pace from the usual morning hustle and bustle.
Go for a drive:

Luckily, this year’s Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday and in most countries, Sundays are free of traffic, both human and vehicular. So, you can get in the car and drive even if it is to nowhere. All you need for this fun Valentine’s Day activity is a sense of adventure and a full tank of gas (or fuel)! You’ll both get out of your comfort zones while you explore new terrain. There’s no telling what you might stumble across.
Enjoy some wine and chocolate tasting:

Have you ever had wine and chocolate before? Hmmmm yummy! Both delicious on their own, but even better together! Stretch your legs on the grass or the porch sip that wine, munch that chocolate and gossip about the past, present and future.
Cook dinner together:

Who says it has to be a restaurant? You can be each other’s cook. A special home-cooked meal can be so much more romantic than going out to eat at a super busy restaurant. Even if one of you doesn’t have chef-worthy skills, you can still make a memorable dinner you’ll both enjoy and laugh about it for years to come.
Write love letters to each other:

If you’ve never done it before, now’s the time to put in writing why your partner is so special to you. Tell them which of their qualities you most admire, how they make you feel, and why you fell in love with them. Let go of the fast-paced social media and instant chatting words. Pen down your true feelings for your partner. It’s brings tears. I mean beautiful tears.
Have a romantic movie marathon:

Grab a bowl popcorn and settle in on the couch for an evening or day filled with your favourite romantic comedies. Sometimes, it’s better when you do nothing.
Send your partner on a treasure hunt:

If gift-giving is your love language, send your significant other on a hunt with trails of rose petals and handwritten clues to find their Valentine’s Day gift. The thrill will be worth it.
Take a cool/hot long bath together:

For a bubble bath with a romantic feel, surround the bath tub with candles, sprinkle rose petals in the water, and set a tray of chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of Champagne within arm’s reach. That’s all you need.
Take a class together:

Is there a skill you both want to brush up on? Learning something new together is a great way to bond. Try a cooking class, dance lesson or any other activity you are both interested in. You can get more ideas from the internet.
Make some good music from home:

Who says Karaoke at home isn’t interesting? Wait until you try one. You see, unlike the club or bar or lounge, no one cares if you or your partner can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Have fun singing your favourite songs from the past or present.
You don’t have to risk getting infected because you want show your partner how much you love them. Afterall, the most important Valentine’s Day gift according to most partners is time spent together. Otherwise, why is it called lover’s day?
